Election Day 2026 (11/3/26)

Bob and I kept our minds off the mid-term elections for most of the day by keeping busy with working out (Bob), talking with my mom (me), and going out to lunch and then to a Western New Mexico University volleyball game.

For lunch, we went to The Cuban Guy, a Cuban restaurant a few blocks from the house that we had wanted to try. We were impressed. The staff was friendly, and the food portions were generous to say the least. We will definitely order differently if we go again before we leave.

We each got a sandwich and a side. Both were huge.
We’d split one of each next time.

We have been wanting to go see a university volleyball game and finally got our chance tonight. The Mustangs of WNMU played the Cowgirls of New Mexico Highland University out of Las Vegas, New Mexico. It was $10 a piece for entry. We got to see some very competitive games. We stayed for the first 3 games, with the home team up 2-1 and at least one more game to go. We enjoyed everything except the sound system which was very difficult to understand.

The designated student section, which was oddly at one end of the gym and not in the middle where the action mostly is.
Only male students sat there, and most left after the second game. Not much cheering either, it seemed like attendance
might have been an assignment.

We are now back watching the initial election returns which are looking better so far than we had hoped.
