We said good-bye to our tour guide at the market and walked back to our hotel for a quick break before heading to the Seoul Tower. Bob found us a different walk back (Note: He’s using the Naver navigational app here as Google Map does not provide as detailed directions nor have many English translations. The Naver app even tells you about stairs, escalators, underground passageways, etc.) that took us along a stream in a pedestrian area below street level before coming back up.

While Friday wasn’t the sunniest of days, we thought we should try to get an overview of Seoul from the N Seoul Tower in Namsan Park. This was just a short but interesting trip from our hotel.
First, we walked about 10 minutes to an inclined elevator (free ride).

After the incline elevator, we took a cable car up to the top of the Namsan Park. One of the first things we noticed in the park besides the scenery was the locks. It definitely has the most locks of any place we’ve visited. They have even made Christmas trees out of them.

We then headed for the tower to get our 360 view of Seoul.

Seoul is a large city. Our guide had told us that it has a population of about 9 million. A Googled answer will have it closer to 10 million. For comparison purposes, New York City is about 8.4 million. The 360 view allowed us to see the bigness of it.
